Scarlett

This is Scarlett, another doll from the same Beth Doherty pattern, Strawbeary (in the book "Amigurumi! Super Happy Crochet Cute"). I tried this type of curly hair for the first time, and I like the results! The curls are made of 40 st chains, with 3 hdc in each st. The straight parts (sewed on the head) are 5 or 10 st chains, with 1 hdc in each st. I arranged them on the head as best I could and voila! I think I would make more curls next time though, because the back of the head still looks a bit "clear". And now my beautiful Scarlett is wrapped up in gift paper, as a present for one of my little (second) cousins.

"You could make this for me."

Flower brooches

I was asked for "colourful flower brooches" and so I tried these two patterns, from CrochetVille (my favourite) and MyLittleCityGirl. Let's see how they like these!
