¡Ta-chán! ¡Otro patrón más de Beth Doherty! Es Werner the Wiener Dog del libro Amigurumi! Super Happy Crochet Cute.

Cuando llevé a Flor a visitar mi oficina, la tuve un rato sentada en el mostrador. Escuché decir que deberíamos tener nuestra propia mascota allí, y pensé que sería divertido. ¡Y aquí está Bobo!

Bobo tiene una importante misión: arrancar sonrisas en el mostrador. También debe atender el teléfono, para lo que lleva su propio aparato receptor.

Aunque me temo que él piensa que su trabajo es encontrar a alguien que le rasque la barriga...

Ta-da! Yet another Beth Doherty pattern! It's Werner the Wiener Dog from the book Amigurumi! Super Happy Crochet Cute. When I took Flor to visit my office, she sat for a while on the counter where we attend to the public. I heard some voices saying we should have a pet of our own there, and I thought it would be cool too. So here is Bobo! Bobo has an important mission: getting smiles at the counter. Also, answering the phone, for what he carries a little receptor of his own. Although, I'm afraid he thinks his mission is finding someone to scratch his belly...

La bufanda Hello Kitty

He aquí un fantástico tutorial: Hello Kitty Granny Square Scarf Crochet Pattern!

Confieso que soy una gran fan del pequeño gatito embajador de los saludos. Así que cuando encontré este patrón sabía que tarde o temprano lo haría, aunque no me entusiasman demasiado los "granny squares".

Y como pueden ver, ¡hice trampas! Hice los cuadros con un único color (unos en rosa y otros en blanco) porque no tenía paciencia para andar escondiendo tantos hilos.

En lugar de bordar los ojos y nariz, hice pequeños óvalos que cosí en su sitio.

Espero que la pequeña señorita que va a recibir esta bufanda se quede tan entusiasmada ante la visión de los gatitos y el intenso rosa que no se dé cuenta de como se ve la bufanda por el "lado oscuro". Yep.

Here is an awesome tutorial if there ever was one: The Hello Kitty Granny Square Scarf Crochet Pattern! I confess I am very fond of the little salute-ambassador cat. So when I found the pattern, I knew I would eventually be making it, even though I don't really enjoy making granny squares. And as you can see, I cheated big time! I made the squares with a single colour (both pink and white) because I have no patience for all of that weaving in the ends. Rather than embroidering the eyes and nose, I crocheted the little oval shapes (2sc, 1dc, repeat into a magic ring) and then sew them on. I came up with the flower and bow shapes myself. I hope the little lady who is going to receive the scarf will be so dazzled by the sight of the Kitties and the intense pink to care too much about how it looks on the "dark side". Yep. Vale, nada que se parezca al glorioso muro de hilos de Twinkie Chan, ¡pero es un comienzo!. Una torre. Estaba cansada de rebuscar en mi cesta para ver qué colores tenía disponibles para elegir.

Alright, nothing near Twinkie Chan's glorious wall of yarn, but it's a start. One column! I was tired of digging in my basket to try and see what colours I had to choose and match.

Flor

Creo que a estas alturas no es ningún secreto que adoro los diseños de Beth Doherty. Ya he probado un par de sus patrones del libro Amigurumi! Super Happy Crochet Cute, y este es otro.

Esta es Flor. ¿No es una monada? Me gusta tanto que creo que no se va a ir a ninguna parte, esta se queda conmigo.

Usé este hilo verde lima con el que tengo una extraña fijación, el mismo que usé para Willow. Es un color muy bonito al que mis fotos no hacen justicia. Bordé el morro del animal, en lugar de usar la nariz "pelota" que indica el libro, y no añadí pesos al rellenar,tan sólo una canica en cada pata, y el muñeco se mantiene bien en pie.

Me gustaron mucho los detalles anatómicos de este patrón, consigue una figura muy realista y tierna. Love-it!

I guess by now it's not a secret that I love Beth Doherty's designs. I've already tried a couple of her patterns in the book Amigurumi! Super Happy Crochet Cute, and here's another one. This is Flor. Isn't she a cutie? I like her so much that I think she won't be going anywhere. This one stays with me. I used this lime green yarn that I have a strange fixation with, the same I used for Willow. It's a beautiful colour that doesn't really show well in my photos. I embroidered a muzzle, instead of the "ball" nose of the original pattern, and I didn't weight-stuffed the doll as suggested. I just used one marble and the bottom of each leg and still it is able to stand on its own easily. I really liked the anatomical details of the pattern, it makes for a very realistic figure and it is so tender! Love-it! Find more photos of Flor over at Flickr.

Año Nuevo, Nueva Imagen, Muñeca Nueva

Esta es Mindy, mi muñeca más reciente, y tengo que decir que estoy enamorada de ella.

Es una combinación de dos patrones diferentes de Beth Doherty en el libro "Amigurumi! Super Happy Crochet Cute": el cuerpo y la ropa son de “Strawbeary" y los pies son los de Benny The Monkey's.




Le hice unas sandalias con una flor de cristal y le puse uñas pintadas de rosa, algo que quería hacer desde que vi esta muñeca Rivka Wilkins.

¡Es una auténtica Rock Chick! ;-)




Mindy se irá pronto a Barcelona, donde ya tiene un hogar de adopción. Mientras tanto está en casa divirtiéndose con Marieta.

This is Mindy, my latest doll, and I have to say I am beyond thrilled with her! I followed two different patterns by Beth Doherty in the book "Amigurumi! Super Happy Crochet Cute": the body and clothes are "Strawbeary" while the feet are Benny The Monkey's. I gave her some fancy flip-flops with flower crystals and I gave her totally pink toe nails, something I've wanted to make since I saw this doll by Rivka Wilkins. And she is totally your Rock Chick! ;-) Mindy will be travelling to Barcelona soon, where she'll have her home with her adoptive rocker chick mum. Meanwhile, here she is having fun with Marieta.
